ALETIC is the Association of ICT Companies in León, grouping more than 20 local ICT companies. This entity was born in the year 2004, having as primary goal “to urge, manage and defend, before the different institutions, solutions to the specific problems of the sector”.
Among the initiatives proposed by this association, the ALETIC Awards stand out, which in 2018 hold their second edition. The ceremony will take place next 18th October in the city of León, and the awarded categories will be the following:
- ‘Innovating for León’ Project (Proyecto Innovando por León). The award will go to a León’s company, group or association with an innovative project including the use of new technologies.
- Best Innovative Project of ICT Company. Award given to the company in León with the most innovative project, or to that company that has implemented an innovative technological solution in a company in León.
- Young Talent. Special category which will reward the awareness on and dissemination of the use of new technologies among the province’s young people.
- Talent and Leadership. This category will recognise the professional career of some people with connection to León and to innovation and new technologies.
In this latter category, the person awarded is already known, directly selected by the members of ALETIC and its Managing Board. The award in this category in 2018 has been granted to Pilar López Álvarez, President of Microsoft Ibérica, who comes from León.
The winners for the first two categories will be selected among the candidates presenting their proposals. They must send the form available to all interested parties on the ALETIC website before 2 pm. (14:00 h.) of 28th September.
This is an initiative that, no doubt, will give visibility to the ICT sector in our city and province, and will serve to recognise the great talent enjoyed by León’s ICT companies.
