If you have designed a project of “R&D Knowledge Creation” and of “R&D&I Research Challenges”, you need to pay attention to the calls for projects opening in September.

The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities will publish in the upcoming days the different calls for R&D projects launched in September: “R&D&I Research Challenges”and “R&D Knowledge Creation.”

The calls will be launched in mid-September:

  • From 11th September to 2nd October for projects of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSH).
  • From 12th September to 3rd October for projects on Life Sciences(CV).
  • From 13th September for 4th October for projects connected to Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering (CMIFQ)

This year you need to consider that the call for projects includes the requirement of presenting a technical dossier of the project in English language, but this is only compulsory when the project budget, in direct costs, exceeds 100,000 euros.

In one of the projects of “R&D&i Research Challenges” there is a category of Projects for Young Researchers (JIN)with or without involvement of less than one year, along with the typical R&D&i projects of previous calls.

For the moment, the Spanish Boletín Oficial del Estado (BOE) will only publish a fragment of the call for projects, and it will be the Spanish State Agency for Research (Agencia Estatal de Investigación),under the authority of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, that will publish the full text.
